  • $1,000 grant for first years living in on-campus housing

  • University Village (3 residence halls)

    • Suites

    • Community-style

      • Bathrooms are locking sink/toilet/shower rooms, not banks of showers and toilets stalls

    • One of the residence halls has a small dining commons/market that all of University Village shares

      • Good for times when students don’t want to talk to the Student Union for the main dining options

  • Laundry is included in tuition

    • There’s an app to monitor the progress of a load

  • Living learning communities (LLCs)

  • Student IDs are digital on one’s phone

  • Parking is as low as $64/yr for a permit for the student housing lots

  • Free transportation from the SLC airport, but it’s 2-3 legs depending on the time of day

  • Massage chairs (and sometimes dogs!) in the Stress Relief Center

  • Ogden Clinic for health services

    • Urgent care there is free of charge

  • Counseling and psychological services are unlimited



FINANCIAL

  • Total direct cost of attendance with the WUE discount is $19,506

  • WUE

    • Apply by Dec 1

    • Minimum 2.0 GPA

    • Available for all majors except Dental Hygiene and Nursing

      • These majors would pay $27,685/yr

    • 4-yr renewable

  • The tour guide let me in the secret to an automatic full-tuition scholarship

    • A student qualifies if they work theatre tech/sets/costumes for one show per year and work 44 hours per semester in one of these areas

    • The student does not need to be a theatre major

    • Open to in-state and out-of-state students

    • The full-tuition scholarship means that the student would only pay for housing and meal plan costs of $10,140

  • WSU utilizes Scholarship University for institutional and outside scholarships

    • Institutional academic scholarships do not stack on top of the WUE discout
